Juniors
Competition
Warradale Park Tennis Club offers the
opportunity for juniors up to seventeen years of age to compete in the
summer competition run by Glenelg District Tennis Association and the
winter competition for teams from Southern Districts, Glenelg District and Hills
Tennis Associations. The summer competition consists of matches held on
Friday evenings which cater for players with advanced skill levels, as well
as Saturday morning competitions for all levels from advanced to beginner.
The winter competition is held on Saturday mornings only.
Squad training for juniors is held weekly
during summer on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This training is designed
and run by our accredited coaches to enhance the development and fitness
levels of our juniors. The cost of this training is incorporated within the
juniors’ fee structure.

2011/2012 Wrap-up
Our Juniors enjoyed another successful summer season. We
registered nineteen teams with GDTA, with twelve of our teams participating
in the finals series. Ultimately, our girls playing in the Friday Premier
Division and Saturday Division 4 celebrated premierships, as did our
Saturday Division One boys. The girls’ Premier team went on to compete in
the Champion of Champions event, finishing runners up. In addition, we had
a number of players chosen during the season to represent GDTA in
inter-association carnivals including the Eric Johnson Cup for Under 18s
and the Angus Thomson OAM Cup for Under 15s. Congratulations to all
Warradale Park Juniors for representing the Club and doing your best at all
times!
